About our Projects
ONUMENT LOMMEL - a place of solace and meaning in the open air.

On November 1st, hundreds of people flocked to participate in an opening ritual built around the Medicine Wheel and the cycle of nature. Local musicians, dancers, and artists performed words and movements. The Monument was thus consecrated by the community itself as a place of solace and connection.
CURANDO - Trauma and recovery in a team

A collective ritual for healing, renewed trust and leadership.
The collaboration with CARess was sincere and professional, based on an authentic spirit that created space, time, and language for a healing ritual. With attention to diversity and respect for everyone's uniqueness.

HEART SPACE - dance performance in Leuven, Antwerp and Frankfurt (2023)

Heart Space is a ritual dance performance that creates space for healing through movement. Guided by dance, we—audience and performers—build a safe space together. We move through moments of pain and resistance, guided by Catholic liturgy, and search for heartwarming warmth beneath the cold church stones.
LOCAL COMMUNITIES - Mourning in Times of Distance

Spaces and ceremonies for bereaved families. The ritual provided space and community for grief that stayed unreleased during COVID. The rituals acknowledged grief that had long been denied. They offered comfort and connection, both for the bereaved and the wider community. Through communal mourning, loss was shared—and healing was made possible.
BRIDGES OF TEARS - Magdalena Church Bruges, commissioned by YOT (2022)

Mary Magdalene is a figurehead of repentance and forgiveness. This woman has gone down in history as both sinner and prophetess, prostitute and apostle. This ritual dance returns to the roots of her story and gives voice to her choices. A chorus of unspoken words resounds as the lament of thousands of women. They mourn their oblivion. Not anymore. Never again.
RISING TREES - saying goodbye to trees as an artistic ritual

Going to the forest together to make prints of fallen trees—"tree wading." Like giant fingerprints. These are artistic rituals of saying goodbye, honoring, and reconnecting with nature, of which we, as humans, are a part.
ART & (Dé)COLONIZATION
decolonization as a transformation process
COLONISATION.jpg)
Our collective of European and African artists explores how we to create leverage in the process of raising awareness of (de)colonization. We create images and rituals that emerge from witnessing each other's stories and processes.
World Candle Lighting Day - serene light ritual with musical accompaniment

"Light in Connection" - On World Candle Lighting Day
Deceased children are remembered with a candle. Candles are lit all over the world at 7 p.m. on that day. Because of the time zones and time differences, this creates a wave of light across the globe for a whole day.
